Diary of William Smart, of Westminster, afterwards of Shields, from 21 Dec 1666 to 20 Mar 1678

The entries are very short, seldom exceeding one line on each day. From many of them it appears that the writer was a money lender. He reached the age of 74 on 24 Nov 1677; his wife's death is entered on 23 Jan in that year; and his family at the time comprised in the diary consisted of one son, Peter.
