Prefixed is a translation, from the Portuguese out of Canarese, of three letters from Beer Buddra Naige, king of Mallinar or Mullinar in the province of Canara. The journal is signed by John Weddell, Nath. Mounteney, Thos. Robinson and John Mounteney.

At the end the following papers are subjoined:

  1. (fol. 200) Account of the merchandise sold during the voyage; endorsed, "A calculation of what goods are sould, and what remayne for the proceed of the voyage."
  2. (fol. 207) Copies of orders made by the captains upon consultations held during the voyage.
  3. (fol. 216) Instructions from Weddell and Mounteney to capt. Edward Hall; 4 Apr 1637.
  4. (fol. 218) Copy of a report of the proceedings of the fleet, sent home by the Katherine from Macao; 19 Dec 1637.
  5. (fol. 222) Invoice of goods sent home with capt. Hall in the Planter.
  6. (fol. 223) Copy of an answer from the captains, written from Goa, to a letter of objection and complaint from the president and council of Surat.
