Biographical / Historical

The Third World and Environment Broadcasting Project was formed by voluntary agencies in 1989 to discuss a common response to the Government White Paper on Broadcasting, after concern that the plans represented a threat to the coverage of international issues on television and radio. The project was funded by voluntary agencies and by 1993 had the support of more than 50 agencies, including Oxfam.
