Included are circular letters (entitled "Journals" and "Letter to Prayer Helpers") written by Fraser and his wife whilst in Uganda, Ceylon and the Gold Coast, and letters from Fraser to his wife and son ("Sandy").

The original album had a written dedication: 'H.S.S. and W.R.C Feby 1875'. It originally included 67 prints, with photographs by Samuel Bourne, Charles Shepherd, Shepherd & Robertson, and John Edward Saché. These have been separated and are now likely among the Bourne and Saché prints in the Wilson Collection.
