Collection of papers relating to the court of the Palace Verge, or Marshalsea, apparently made by John Hardesty, clerk of the court; being petitions, informations, summons, notes of cases therein tried, sessionsbooks, and collections relating to its history and jurisdiction, bulk: chiefly between 1679 and 1741
At the end are added two small note-books of the assessment and collectors of trophy-money in the years 1711–1713, within the hundreds of Gore, Edmonton, Isleworth, Elthorn, and Spelthorn, in the county of Middlesex, the divisions of Kensington, Holborn, and Finsbury, and the liberty of Westminster.
