Titled in black ink in Brandt's hand, with photographer's blue stamp verso. Printed 1950s. One intriguing sub theme of Brandt's work is his depiction of sculpture, specifically statues of the human figure. In 1931 whilst in Paris he showed animate mannequins in a flea market, then the following year in Spain he showed statuary in which the human presence is palpable and later in Chiswick during the Second World War the statues of standing and reclining figures areā€¦
