R.H. Hodgkin, Thomas's father (1877-1951) was Provost of Queen's College Oxford, 1937-1951. There are only a few letters: 1926, 1937 (to Hodgkin, on her engagement), 1942 (to Thomas).

Robin Allason Hodgkin was Thomas's cousin, brother of Alan Hodgkin FRS. He was the headmaster of Abbotsholme School. There are only two letters, 1958 and 1961, which contain information on the school, and his obituary, 2003.
