Two original petitions, one to King William and Queen Mary and one to the House of Commons
Two original petitions, one to King William and Queen Mary and one to the House of Commons, begging them so to explain the terms 'true allegiance' that the fifty-nine who sign the petitions (which are identical in terms) may be able to take the new oath. This was no doubt in 1689, and the first signature in each is that of Joshua Barnes. An index to all the names is in the Library.
