Abstract

Wyatt Papers

Biographical / Historical

Charles Francis Wyatt (1820-1906) was rector of Broughton, Oxfordshire, and an antiquary.

Other Finding Aids

Falconer Madan, et al., A summary catalogue of western manuscripts in the Bodleian Library at Oxford which have not hitherto been catalogued in the Quarto series (7 vols. in 8 [vol. II in 2 parts], Oxford, 1895-1953; reprinted, with corrections in vols. I and VII, Munich, 1980), vol. VI, nos. 35154-35160.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

On Nov. 7, 1910 a large miscellaneous parcel of pamphlets, broadsides and manuscript papers (chiefly topographical, historical and heraldic) was presented, through the rev. E. H. Goddard, by the rev. B. W. Bradford, rector of Broughton, near Banbury. They were part of the library of the late rev. C. F. Wyatt, rector of Broughton, and the manuscript part forms the seven volumes described below.
