William Henry Turner (d.1880), an Oxfordshire antiquary, was engaged on work for the Bodleian Library from 1860 until his death on 30 June 1880.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection is made up from purchases at various times from Mrs. Janet Turner, widow of W.H. Turner, the chief being on Aug. 27, 1884, when £3 10s. was paid to her.
