Fragments of liturgical MSS., chiefly from bindings, many with musical notes, ranging from the 11th to the 16th centuries. They do not admit of summary treatment:

  1. Fol. 5 bears 'Carthusieǹ„ prope Erffordiam' and so is probably from a Hamilton MS., see nos. 24431-88
  2. At fol. 38 is a fragment of an early 13th cent. Prosary, probably of Canterbury, certainly of South England, see Analecta Hymnica, xl. p. 144
  3. The prose there printed by mr. Bannister, and of which a part is found in the Bodleian fragment, seems to me to have been undoubtedly written for St. Augustine's, Canterbury--not for Christ Church, as he is called in it 'patrone Augustine'
