'A Reply to a pamphlet [by bp. Burnet] entituled The Bishop of Sarums Vindication or Reflections upon a pamphlet [by dr. G. Hickes] entituled Some Discourses upon Dr. Burnet, and Dr. Tillotson, etc. By the Authour of those Discourses.'
In 1695 dr. Hickes published the Discourses and in 1696 bp. Burnet issued his Vindication. The present reply by Hickes to the Vindication, which is entirely in Hickes' hand (with the exception of fol. 7) seems not to have been published, and appears to be the unfinished discourse referred to in the Dict, of Nat. Biogr. composed early in 1696. Two leaves are wanting after fol. 6.
