Papers relating to John Durie (Johannes Duræus, d. 1680) and his efforts to promote unity among the Protestant countries of Europe, 1654-58, 1669-70. Some are printed, and among the manuscript items are:

- Copies of four Latin letters to Durie, from Antonius Legerus, Nov. 26, 1655 (fol. 53), from the Waldensian churches, Oct. 10, 1655 (fol. 60, cf. 55), from Nicolaüs Treviranus, Aug. 20, 1655 (fol. 63), and from Frederick count Palatine of the Rhine, Oct. 10, 1655 (fol. 95)
- Fol. 103. A copy of a Latin declaration in favour of unity signed by divines in Oxford, Cambridge, and London, about 1655: beg. 'Quod in tot et tantis'
- Fol. 143. 'Hypomnemata de negotiatione pacifica a Johanne Duræo suscepta ...', Aug. 1670, by Durie, with a German translation of the document ('Erinnerung Schriftt') at fol. 205
- Fol. 162. 'Johan Duræi Cogitata' on the same subject, addressed to the ministers of Berlin, about 1670
- Fol. 179. 'Disquisitio amica inter Johannem Duræum et Mrum Hieronijmum Sivertum' Magdeburgensem, on the same subject, Dec. 5/15, 1669
Some of the above papers are copies attested and sealed by Fridericus Christianus Salmuth a notary public, 1656, see fols. 53, 58, 61, 106, 112. Durie's autograph only occurs at fols. 20, 126, 199, and at the end of a few other pieces. A few modern notes about Durie occupy fols. 232-40.
