'The Discourse of John Selden, Esqr., or his Sence of various matters ... relateing espeically to Religion and State'
'The Discourse of John Selden, Esqr., or his Sence of various matters ... relateing espeically to Religion and State', a careless copy of the Table Talk, with Richard Milward's preface.
The volume had been partly prepared for use as the 2nd volume of a Common Place Book, and has at the top of the titlepage 'Σύυ Θεώ Aug. 11, 1686', which fixes the limit of the earliest date. The first edition of the Table Talk is 1689, but this MS. is certainly not a copy from it or the second edition of 1696: so was probably written between 1686 and 1689.
