An alphabetical index by subjects to the 1st edition (1736) of bp. Joseph Butler's Analogy of Religion, made by dr. Edward Bentham, with three pages of corrections and additions by bp. Butler (fol. 33).

On fol. 34v is a pencil note (early 19th century ?): 'These corrections are in the handwriting of the incomparable author, & were communicated by him to Dr. Bentham by whom this Index was drawn out. Th. B.'
