'Of feuds and tenures by knight service, their originall growth, propagation, condition, generally beyonde the seas, particularly here in England, written by Sir Henry Spelman, knight, in supportation of a passage touching them in his Glossarie. A.D. 1639' (p. xiii), a table of chapters (p. xvij): beg. 'In the great case of tenures uppon the Commission of defective titles' (p. 1).
