'Roberti Talboti Annotationes in earn partem itinerarii Anton[ini] quae ad Britanniam pertinet', transcribed by John Stow the chronicler, as was rightly conjectured by Thomas Hearne (Itinerary of John Leland, 1711, vol. iii, p. iv), by whom this MS. was published: interleaved with blank paper.

About A.D. 1630 William Burton of Kingston-on-Thames added collations from another MS. copy of the same work then in the possession of John Langley of Broseley, co. Salop: see note by Burton on fol. 5.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

'88' in the library of Thomas Allen of Gloucester hall (d. 1632). '... Degoreus Whear, Aulae Glocestrensis Principalis . .. cui concessa erat Bibliothecæ Thomæ Alleni inspectio atque cura, lihelium hunc rogatus dono mihi dedit. Ego autem ... Gerardo Langbaine et Thomæ Barlowe in Bibliotheca Bodleiana reponendum transmisi si illis videbitur. Gulielmus Burton' (d. 1657): so the MS. came into the Library in 1632-7.
