Immediate Source of Acquisition

'Ex dono Roberti Clay': then in another hand 'S. Theologiæ Doctoris apud quem habentur comentarij in priorem ad Timotheum Epistolam MS. eiusdem Whitakerj'. Clay was not made a D.D. till Jan. 19, 1609/10, and the volume was certainly acquired not later than 1611.
