Volume containing three treatises on forest laws:
- Fols. 1-2. 'Foresta' by Sir James Lee, in the hand of Maurice Johnson, apparently copied from the text in Thomas Hearne, A collection of curious discourses (Oxford, 1720), 193-7
- Fols. viii, 3-70. a treatise in four sections, c.1600, of which there are late 17th-cent. copies in MS. Bodley 872 (SC 27652), where it is entitled 'A lecture of forests' and ascribed to 'C. P.', and in MS. Willis 57 (SC 16351)
- Fols. 71-138. 'An epytome of the forrest lawe', with a glossary of forestry terms, by John Trussell, with (fol. 71) dedication to Sir John Finch and Sir John Trevar, judges of the Western Circuit, 1639, and a request for a licence to print the work. At fol. ii is a list of contents in the hand of Maurice Johnson.
