Copy by George Harbin (note by him, fol. 16), from an original in William Sancroft's hand of 'Advice given to A. Bp. Sancroft & ye other depriv'd Bps. by some lawyers w[ha]t they might doe', headed 'Of parliaments'.

Harbin attributes the paper to Mr. North, probably Roger North. A copy of the advice in Sancroft's hand is in Bodl., MS. Tanner 459, fols. 15-22, and a letter from Roger North relating to it, 1689, is ibid., fol. 3.
