Abstract

Photocopy of a letter from Graham to Vivien Greene.

Biographical / Historical

Henry Graham Greene (1904-1991) was an English novelist. Vivien Greene (nee Dayrell-Browning) (1905-2003) was a poet and later an expert on antique dolls' houses. Graham and Vivien married on 15 October 1927.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Given by Waterfield's antiquarian booksellers, 20 Jan 2005, in the course of the sale of Vivien Greene's books on behalf of her Estate, 2004.

Existence and Location of Originals

The original is now in the possession of Francis Greene.
