Abstract

Biographical / Historical
Gilbert Noel Sale (1897-1991) was a forester in the Colonial Service and in Britain. Sale served as Assistant Conservator of Forestry in Cyprus, 1922-1929, as Conservator of Forests in Mauritius 1929-1935, Conservator of Forests in Mandatory Palestine, 1936-1946, Conservator of Forests in Trinidad and the Islands, 1946-1949 and as Woodlands Adviser to the Nature Conservancy in the UK, 1950-1962.
