Biographical / Historical
Thomas Tanner (1674-1735) was bishop of St. Asaph and an antiquary. Frances Tanner (nee Preston) (d 1718) was the second wife of Thomas Tanner. For a fuller biography of Thomas Tanner see the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
