Three autograph letters to Richard Gough asking for his permission to make sketches of certain antiquities at the British Museum as a commission from Dr. Gower. They are written by Joseph Strutt on behalf of Foote Gower and addressed to 'Mr Gough at Enfield, Middlesex' (twice spelt Endfield). Includes:
  1. (fols. 27-8) 29 May 1771.
  2. (fols. 29-30) 3 June 1771.
  3. (fols. 31-32) 16 July 1771.
