Summary
Mounted and inscribed beneath the image "Girl in striped shirt, Matlock" and the mount blindstamped lower right: "Photograph by Paul Hill". Also inscribed on the reverse of the mount: "GIRL IN STRIPED SHIRT, MATLOCK, BATH 1976 (from PRENOTATIONS SERIES)". Also stamped on the reverse "Photograph by PAUL HILL" and with a stamp for "The Photographers' Place".
One of Hill's most celebrated works, Girl in Striped Shirt was reproduced in the important Arts Council catalogue, Three Perspectives on Photography (1979), to accompany Paul Hill's essay Photographic Truth, Metaphor and Individual Expression.
