These books contain daily employment records for each farm labourer and weekly accounts of their wages, as well as summary records for skilled labourers, accounts of livestock, produce and sundries, annual valuations and accounts, and a register of land. The accounts are entered in Robert Swinborne, The Farmer's Complete Account-Book (Colchester, 1848-1853).
