- A Dageurreotype portrait of a woman holding a book by Richard Beard, c.1841, framed, [reverse binding is fragile]
- A Dageurreotype portrait of a woman in a bonnet by Richard Beard, c.1842, cased
- A Dageurreotype portrait of a man in a white collar by Richard Beard, c.1842, cased [upper lid detached]
- George Cruikshank’s Omnibus, 1842, featuring an engraving of the interior of Richard Beard’s London studio
- A coloured Dageurreotype portrait of a man in a green necktie by Richard Beard, c.1845, cased
Note: Richard Beard is unlikely to have taken these portraits personally. He was the patent holder to the Dageurreotype in England and ran a portrait studio in a glasshouse on the roof of the Polytechnic Institute in London. He also licensed photographers to use the process, on the condition that his mark appeared on every Dageurreotype.
