Contents of folders so inscribed, comprising correspondence and drafts.

The surviving correspondence begins in May 1974 with a letter and comments from R. Landauer on Peierls's collaborative paper with A. K. Das 'The force on a moving charge in an electron gas', Journal of Physics C, 6 (1973). The correspondence continues through 1974 and 1975 with frequent and often complex three-cornered exchanges between Peierls, Das and Landauer. Peierls acted as 'postman' or arbiter, and the sequence is further complicated by his travels and absences.

There is a little editorial material about Peierls's collaborative paper with A.K. Das 'The force of electromigration', Journal of Physics C, 8 (1975). Related preprints, drafts and unpublished material are also included.
