Nothing will be done to the prejudice of the bp.'s nephew in the case of Mr. Berkeley; Hague, 28 Feb 1687

MS. Rawl. C. 983, fol. 109

  • Request

Mr. Berkeley seems a very honest man, but not a man of extraordinary understanding; the English Envoy has publicly told how he has desired the Prince and Princess to forbid Dr. Burnet their presence; the writer hears that the King reckons him (Dr. S.) too zealous for the Church of England.
