Hunter's History of the Cathedral , 1733 and 1743; and in the appendix to the Surtees Society's edition of the Description of the monuments, rites and customs of Durham in octavo. Lond. 1842, p. 91. The description of the windows in the vestry, which is said in a note in the latter edition (p. 98.) to be "not found in any MS.," is contained in the present copy.
