Chiefly extracted from the Dodsworth MSS., to which the references are given; with a few notes, and a pedigree of the family of Peche, in the handwriting of R. Dodsworth himself.

An index of names is given at fols. 33, 284.

The following note is prefixed by Dodsworth to the pedigree of Peche, respecting the register of Barnwell priory, from which that pedigree is extracted: "Sir Henry St. George, son of the said sir Richard, told me in Candlemas tearme, 1635, that his father gave this booke to a gentleman that now dwells at Burne, called Mr. Hagar as I remember. You may inquire of itt and borrow itt. A coppy would doo well."
