"A colleccion shewing what jurisdiccion the clergie hath heretofore lawfully used and may lawfully use in the realme of England. Wherein it is manifestly prooued that the prelates or ecclesiasticall judges neuer had any authority to compell any subiect of the land to an oath, vnles it were in causes testamentary or matrimoniall or thereto apperteyning, with a confutacion of such frivolous and vnlearned surmises as have been made for the mainetenance of the clergies vnlawfull proceedings in these dayes to the contrary, whereby they have sundry wayes incurred the penalties of the statutes of Provision and Premunire", Date not recorded at time of cataloguing
