Genealogy, by both father's and mother's side, of Pierre de Luxembourg, count de St. Pol, and of his wife; followed by the blazon of 31 coats of arms of allied families, with the shields painted in their proper colours, 1433-1435
Written between 1433, in which year the duke of Bedford married Jacqueline daughter of the count de St. Pol, (mentioned below) and 1435, the year of the duke's death.
The following titles are prefixed to the two parts of the pedigree:
- (fol. 186b) "Chy sensieult la genealogie de tres haut et puissant seigneur Pierre de Luxembourch, conte de St. Pol, de Conversant, et de Brienne, seigneur denghien, de Fiennes, et castelain de Lille. Et ses blasons armoyes de huit coste de par son pere, et de viii coste de par sa mere. Par les quelx on poelt veoir et scavoir dont les nobles enfans filz et filles sont venus et estrais."
- (fol. 190b) "Chy apres sensieult la genealogie de tres haulte et puissant dame Marguerite des Baux, fille du duc dandre, espeuse au dessusd mons. Pierre de Luxembourg, conte de Saint Pol, de Conversant et de Brienne, mere a Louys de Luxembourg, Conte de St. Pol, mere a ma tresredoubtee dame Jaque de Luxembourch, duccesse de Bethefort, regente de France, mere a Thiebault de Luxembourg, a Ysabeau de Luxembourg, a Jaques de Luxembourg, et a Katherine de Luxembourg. Et les blasons armoyes des viii costes de par son pere et de viii costes de par sa mere."
Prefixed to the blazonry of the arms is an introduction, commencing (fol. 195), "A la loenge et a la reverence de Dieu premiers et de sa tresglorieuse et benoite mere au commencement et a la fin de ceste haulte et exellente introduction sensieult prologue et genealogie de treshauls tresexellens et trespuissans princes la quelle est venue et yssue premierement de Mellusinne," etc.
