A collection of medical receipts in English, bulk: written between the years 1564 and 1569
A table of contents is prefixed, which states that some of the medicines "were takene owte of dyvers olde Englyshe bookes, and somme by late experyence provyd," 1564.
At fols. 66, 86, are two receipts by Dr. Thomas Thyrlbye; one, "a powder good for the stone, 1565;" the other, "to make Manus Christi of the syrupe of lycoryce."

Olim possedit "Thomas Buttus." The "Thomas Buttus," or Butts, who has written his name on each cover of the volume, was probably a son of Dr. William Butts, physician to Henry VIII.
