Apparently by Francis Turner, afterwards bishop of Ely, one leaf in his handwriting being inserted at fol. 23.

At fol. 4 is inserted a letter from W. Lloyd (afterwards bishop of St. Asaph, etc.), dated 17 Aug 1674, to "my dearest friend," mentioning that he (in conjunction with Mr. Smith) has worked for three or four days in the University Library at Oxford for his friend with little fruit; referring to the continuations of Baronius, to Botonus, Benzonius, Pientinus, and Corius' Hist. of Milan, as containing much to his friend's purpose, and hoping that he will make speed with the historical part, as the book should be out before Michaelmas. Enquired at C.C.C. for Mr. Tho. Turner, but did not find him; sends service to his friend's mother and Mrs. Knollis; desires to hear what he knows of their friends at Roan.
