Alphabetical lists of towns, villages, etc., in Lancashire (from S to W), Cheshire, Shropshire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire and Northumberland (A-B only), with descriptive notices of some of the more important places, late 16th or early 17th century
Apparently transcribed from a MS. written during the reign of Q. Eliz. (see under Newark,) and after the year 1589, (see under Nottingham.) According to an old foliation thirty-six leaves are wanting at the beginning, containing the greater part of Lancashire.
