The volume apparently consists of entries relating to actions tried in the courts at Westminster, from Mich. term, 29–30 Eliz. (1587), to Trin. 2 Jas. I. (1604), and lying within the sheriffdom of London, as appears from the names of the sheriffs which are given under each year. The following is the first case entered in the volume, to which most of the subsequent entries correspond in form: "Androus. xd. Pro Pasch. xxix. (rot.) DLXVI. Thomas Lytley versus Willielmum Lockewood, ppluc.r.m.m. pro vic. non mis. breve."
