Described in the lettering on the back of the volume as being by sir Richard St. George, Norroy, but written by several hands.

The volume contains:

  1. pedigrees and copies of deeds relating to the family of St. George, and its alliances (viz. the families of De Quincy, St. John, Beauchamp, Devereux, Nevill, Carewe, etc.) and many others;
  2. collections relating to the priories of Barnwell, Cambridge, and St. Neots and Ramsey, Hunts;
  3. church notes in Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, etc.;
  4. catalogue of peers created from the Conq. to Edw. VI.;
  5. catalogue of coats borne by families of the same name;
  6. notes from the Fine rolls of Edw. I.;
  7. roll of knights and their arms, engaged in the wars of Edw. I., etc.

An index is added at the end.

The dates found throughout the volume which mark the time of its compilation, vary from 1586 (fol. 180) to 1593 (fol. 200.) At fol. 99b, however, is a pedigree of the family of St. John, reaching to 1619.

(fols. 1, 2, 80, 112, 153, 155, 157 et 158) are now missing.
