Custodial History

In the catalogue of Thos. Rawlinson's MSS. it is said that "the book seems to have belonged to Henry Carey, lord Hunsdon;" but there does not appear to be any evidence for such an inference, further than the fact of his coat being the last contained in the volume.

In folio primo est nomen "John Stephensome," ac etiam nota sequens — "♂, 5 March, 1733/4: bought this book for 14s. 6d. at the sale by auction of the MSS. of Tho. Rawlinson, esq. deceased: vide catalogue 16th, pa. 9, no. 115. O. Acton. 28."
