This poem is nothing more than an adaptation of G. Peele's poem bearing the same title, written on the installation of the earl of Northumberland in 1593 and printed in that year. The only variations are those necessitated by a change of names, and consequent change of description, in the lines near the conclusion which begin, "But specially in honour of those five / That at this day this honour have receiv'd."
