A collection of medical receipts, copied by sir John Reed, parson of Nether Broughton, Leicestershire, and vicar of Melbourne, Derbyshire, (about the beginning of Henry the Eighth's reign) who intersperses his own notes and observations, and records of many of the remedies that they were proved "in meipso."

The collector appears to have lived chiefly in Yorkshire, and to have been connected with the families of the earl of Northumberland and sir John Pickering, many cures being mentioned by him as occurring in that county and amongst members of those houses.

(fols. 1, 28, 35, 43, 59, 65, 66, 68, 76–78, 90–93, 103–109) are missing.
