"Ireland. Hereafter ensewith a perticuler declaration of all and singuler the receiptes and charge of the accompte of sir Henry Wallop, knighte, exercysinge the office of the treasorer at warres within the said realme of Irelande, that is to say, as well of all and singuler arrerages, defalkcions of former ymprests, victuells, munycions, checques, composicions, revenewes, imposts, and all other receiptes, hadd, done or made within the said realme, as also out of hir majesties exchequier and treasure from England, by thandes of himself or any other person or persons for thaffaires of the said realme, wherewith he is to be chardged and aunswerable upon his accompte: from the last of September 1588, anno xxxº. Reginæ Elizabeth (to the which daie the fourth lidger of his accompte was determined) unto and for the laste of September, 1591, anno xxxiijº. Reginæ prædictæ, conteyning three whole yeares." The accounts in many cases reach back to the year 1580, and occasionally even further.
