Democratic National Committee, Apr 1970-Feb 1978
Three reports issued by various commissions to the Democratic National Committee:
- Mandate for Reform, Commission on Delegate Selection and Party Structure to the Democratic National Committee, Apr 1970
- Openness, participation and party building: reforms for a stronger Democratic party, Commission on Presidential Nomination and Party Structure to the Democratic National Committee, Feb 1978
- Democrats All, Commission on Delegate Selection and Party Structure to the Democratic National Committee, Dec 1973.
Richard Stearns, a summer intern working on the Mandate for Reform report, used information he had gathered for an M.Litt dissertation at Balliol. The report was also the subject of the Berkeley PhD dissertation and first monograph Quiet Revolution: The Struggle for the Democratic Party and the Shaping of Post-Reform Politics, by Byron Shafer (Oxford's first Mellon Professor of American Government).
