Numbers 91-115, written at Wamba and Keffi, some fastened together, not always in chronological order. The first five are about an incident described in correspondence between Mathews and Kirkpatrick in 2/6 (fols. 8-41). The rest deal with the formation and work of the Mada Patrol, consisting of 75 soldiers, 11 police, messengers and interpreters; cases of slave-dealing among the Fulani; routine work in Lafia Division.
