  6. File 6, fols. 1-24: Correspondence about Lugard's resignation from the Mandates Commission and his proposal to Malcolm Macdonald that Margery Perham would be a suitable person to succeed Lord Hailey, who had succeeded Lugard on his recommendation, 1936.
  7. File 7, fols. 1-14: Formal recognition by the Mandates Commission of Lugard's services and tributes paid to him by the press, 1936.
  8. File 8, fols. 1-76: Correspondence with colleagues on the Permanent Mandates Commission and others who paid tribute to his work and expressed regret at his resignation, 1936.
  9. File 9, fols. 1-15: Correspondence about William Rappard's visit to England and Lugard's desire to have him nominated a member of the Athenaeum, 1942.
  10. File 10, fols. 1-55: Correspondence about a pamphlet on the Mandates System that Lugard was asked to write for the Royal Institute of International Affairs, 1943.
  11. File 11, items 1-2: Lugard's notes for and draft of the pamphlet for the Royal Institute of International Affairs, c. 1943, with the printed list of Works relating to the Mandates System and the Territories under Mandate catalogued in the Library of the League of Nations, 1934.
