Biographical / Historical
Let Down By Labour was a series of publications by CRD highlighting the negative impacts of Tony Blair's Labour Government. In the foreword to the first issue, Dr Liam Fox, Chairman of the Conservative Party, states: 'In April 1997, New Labour launched its manifesto for government. The manifesto argued that "Britain deserves better", and set out how Tony Blair would make it happen...After seven years in office, and on the brink of the campaign for European, London and Local Elections, this is an ideal time to pass judgement on the performance of Tony Blair's Government. "Let Down By Labour" assesses the promises which Tony Blair made in his 1997 manifesto, and contrasts those with Labour's record in office.'
