Biographical / Historical
Conservative Doorstep Aids was a small 8-paged leaflet which listed the ways in which certain groups, such as pensioners, widows, industrial workers, and young married people, 'are better off under Conservatism'. Each edition, published monthly by the Conservative Central Office, detailed these benefits for eight individual groups, giving short statements and figures to support their claims.
From March 1963, the leaflet used the slogan 'Nationally and Locally - Conservatism means Steady Progress'.
