Miscellaneous objects, mainly enclosures with letters, including:
- (items 1-2) packets of 'Feathers for tying flies sent from Bogota by [Philip] Griffith', March and April 1857, removed from MS. Crampton 42
- (item 3) sixteen 'leaden pistons' (detonators) formerly enclosed in a letter from their inventor Thomas Bishop, 8 June 1859-see MS. Crampton 42, fols. 17-22 [the detonators transferred to the Imperial War Museum and other institutions, 1984]
- (items 6-8) three telegraph messages, 1854-5, copies inserted in place in 38180, fols. 152-3, and 38181, fols. 203-4.
