Part of a general treatise on 'the state of Religion in these western parts of the world', dealing with the Church of Rome, written in about A.D. 1600
Addressed to the archbp. of Canterbury: beg. 'My singular good Lord, having finished now my entended course': ends 'the famous ladie of', some leaves being lost. It is written from the Protestant point of view, but temperately, and deals with the condition and organization of the Church, not its doctrine. Internal evidence shows that the date is just about A.D. 1600.
