A translation of Boethius's De Consolatione Philosophiae into English verse, here anonymous, but by John Walton (Johannes capellanus), canon of Oseney, written in the 15th cent.

The 'Prefacio translatoris' beg. 'Unsuffischaunce of knuuyng and of wit': 'Prologue eiusdem' beg. 'The while that Rome': text beg. 'Allas j wrecche that whilom was in welthe': a leaf is lost after fol. 100, and all after 'Dooth any thing these crafty men compel' in the fourth Prosa of the sixth book (after fol. 105). The stanza rhymes ababbcbc.
